Class Descriptions

Flow and Glow

This candlelight Yang/Yin-style class combines a breath and alignment centered vinyasa flow with longer held yin postures.  Flow is first, then the class settles into yin bliss with deep, long holds. The flow element of this class moves at a faster pace, while still you allowing time to refine and settle into your expression of the posture. The flow sequence, often centered around a theme or anatomical focus, compliments and prepares you for the yin stillness. Props and various options are offered to accommodate all levels.  Breath work, music, poetry, visualization, and reflection are used as tools to dive deeper into the body, mind, and heart.  This is the perfect way to end any lively day and to transition into a deep state of calm.

Form and Flow

Walt teaches a breath-based class suitable for students new to yoga or those who enjoy a slower-paced class. Breathing, moving, and smiling are the requirements and the foundation of this class.

Deep, focused breathing has been proven to calm the nervous system and quiet the mind.   Walt teaches you how to do this at the beginning of each class and will encourage you to maintain this high-quality breathing throughout the practice. A series of strength-building standing and balancing poses are complimented by deep stretches for the hips and legs. This balanced foundation in form and flow will prepare you for more advanced classes. You will leave feeling renewed and refreshed, better able to be present and responsive to all those in your life, including you.

Integral Yoga

In the tradition of Swami Satchidananda, this traditional, ashram-style class offers a combination of specific methods of yoga designed to develop every aspect of the individual: physical, intellectual, and spiritual. Tara leads the class so that everyone will receive maximum health benefit in the minimum amount of poses.  The basic sequence provides a sound foundation for Hatha Yoga practice and the cultivation of an “easeful body, a peaceful mind, and a useful life”. Tara integrates four practices of yoga including asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), chanting and meditation to bring a complete and harmonious development of oneself.  This class is excellent for all levels of practitioners.

Joyful Yoga Flow

Jessica teaches a balanced sequence of yoga postures that connect the movement of the body with the flow of the breath.  This is a moving meditation that will calm your mind and reduce stress.  She uses hands-on adjustments and modifications to help you find that perfect feeling in each posture.  Take a 90-minute vacation and recharge for your busy week.  This is an all-levels class.

Mindful Flow

Mindful flow is a balanced practice that leaves you feeling better than when you walked in.  The pace is set and characterized by deep, fluid breathing. Brian guides the class through a gentle warm-up, then a series of postures designed to build strength, flexibility and balance. Class ends with deep stretches to relieve tension in the body and calm the mind.

  • This class is suitable for beginners and those that might need modifications. The collective group energy determines the pace of class.
  • Level 2 & 3 is an intermediate practice with longer holds, extensive balancing postures, and inversions. An understanding of deep breathing and basic alignment of yoga postures is expected.

Mindful Stillness

Brian teaches deep breathing techniques to safely guide you through a series of hip and hamstring yoga postures that relieve your lower body of tension and calm your mind. All of the postures are practiced on the floor—seated or lying down. The pace of the class is slow and postures are explored for one to three minutes. Brian encourages you to find your own perfect degree of intensity, adding modifications to ensure safety and promote a healing experience. This class is the perfect complement to any yoga practice or other type of exercise (especially running or cycling) and is appropriate for all levels.

Midday Flow

This hour-long class will energize you, inspire you, and recharge you for the rest of your day.  Class begins with a gentle warm up to relax and let go of stress, then shifts to an energetic, breath-inspired flow practice designed to build strength, improve balance, and gain flexibility.  Angela offers modifications and encourages you to find the variation of each pose that is right for your body. You will return to your day calm, renewed, and ready to handle whatever life presents.  This class is suitable for all levels.

Power Yoga Level 2&3

This class is an alignment and breath-centered intermediate vinyasa flow class, often thematic in nature, with a sequence designed to work towards a peak posture.  Kristen’s power flow will move mindfully at a steady pace, allowing you to refine and settle in to the postures, using your breath to create space and release tension in the body, mind, and heart. There will be opportunities for you to explore arm balances and/or inversions with guidance and instruction.  Specific options and modifications will be offered to ensure your safety. This class is challenging, fun, creative, and reflective. A basic understanding of yoga postures and breathing will enhance your experience.

Relax and Renew

Catherine creates an opportunity for you to breathe deeply, get moving, and unwind from the stresses of your life.  Catherine’s daily practice showed her how to live a purposeful life and love more fully.  This all-levels class gives you the space you need to restore and feel more alive. Modifications and adjustments are given as needed to insure safety and promote a healing experience.  A guided meditation at the end of class teaches you how to quiet your mind and feel more at ease. This is a fantastic class to begin your yoga journey or to honor your body and practice at a slower pace.
